Attorney Martin E. Long founded Long & Long PC in 1983. From the beginning, Martin has placed a special emphasis on creditor-debtor relations.
As his legal career progressed, Martin Long was appointed as a bankruptcy trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court in the District of Colorado. In this role, he successfully administered thousands of bankruptcies.
Through his industry-specific experience, Martin Long has developed an intimate understanding of the bankruptcy process and creditor-debtor relationships. Mr. Long utilizes his expertise to provide the highest quality services and attention to his clients during their Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 proceedings and/or for exploring alternatives to bankruptcy.
Mr. Long received his bachelor’s degree from Western State College in 1977, and went on to earn his law degree from the University of Denver in 1980. For over 30 years, he has been litigating in the county, district and federal courts of Colorado. He has also handled legal matters before the United States District Court, and has successfully appealed many cases in both the Colorado Supreme Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals.
By leveraging his range of knowledge and specific expertise, Mr. Long has offered various seminars educating both attorneys and trade association members in the area of bankruptcy law.
He is also an active member of the Colorado Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Community Association Institute. He is also the Board President in the Goldsmith Gulch Sanitation District.
